Cloth
At Tom Fox, we offer an extensive collection of cloths, almost exclusively from British mills in Yorkshire and Scotland, where decades of experience come together to produce some of the finest fabrics available anywhere in the world. Choosing your cloth is the most important aspect of creating a bespoke suit and not only do we have an exceptional range, we also offer expert help in selecting the perfect match for you. We’ll guide you through choosing the weight, weave and colour to make the finished item as individual as you.
Cut
Once you have selected your cloth, we can now concentrate on style and design – this is where individuality makes you a cut above the rest. Our clients have the freedom to define their exact requirements on everything from a choice of five hundred linings, to lapel width, pocket styles, stitching detail, and so much more. If you have a strong vision of what you want, we will tailor to your needs. If you require help, we will guide you. With a finely tailored suit from Tom Fox, ‘bespoke’ means so much more than simply cut to fit.
Finish
With a comprehensive set of measurements taken, we create a unique pattern to your individual specifications. Around three and a half yards of your chosen cloth is marked out and the suit is cut. We then stitch together the structure of your suit, hand pressing the cloth at each stage to maintain the perfect shape ready for your first fitting. Your suit may well be ready to wear at this stage (five to six weeks), or sometimes small minor adjustments are required to ensure the perfect fit. Should this be the case, around one further week is needed to complete a garment that is wholly unique to you.
