How long does measuring-up/ordering a new suit take?

Most new customers are with us for an hour to an hour and a half to place an order.  If you know exactly what you want, it’s much faster – it’s all about finding the right cloth.

How long does the whole process take?

Ordinarily, the whole process takes six to eight weeks.  We can make up faster, but you would need to speak to us about this.  We can never make anything in less than four weeks.

Where will my suit be made?

It goes on a journey really, but importantly we are in control of, and responsible for every stage. We produce a file for the Pattern Maker (in Yorkshire), he creates the pattern, and this is sent to the workshop with the cloth and trimmings.  We are not wedded to any particular workshop so are free to use whoever is consistently producing top quality garments.

I’m an odd shape and nothing ever fits – will you be able to help?

Almost certainly yes!  We start with your measures, not with an existing garment or block, so I’m sure we will be able to look after you. Tailoring a Tom Fox suit to flatter your shape will give you not only comfort but confidence too!

How much is one of your suits likely to cost me?

Typically, from £1195.00 for a two-piece – a waistcoat adds a further 25% to the price. There are plenty of variables, but the cloth is the key price driver.

How much is one of your shirts likely to cost me?

From £149.00, up to £199.00 for our most luxurious and colourful.

What are your payment terms?

We ask for a 50% deposit with order, and then the balance upon completion.

Is Tom Fox Ltd a franchise?

No. Tom Fox Ltd is totally independent and owned by Philip, who runs the business and is nearly always in the shop. He is passionate about what he does and the quality of his work.
